About the T & D Metal Products and Metal Fabrication Company

The Founders:
T&D Metal Products LLC was incorporated during May, 1951 by Otto Tauck and Howard Dittrich in Morengo, Illinois. Howard was the visionary and idea person, while Otto became the financier. Both people formed a great team to accomplish the creation of T & D Metal.

T&D Metal went through many changes and locations in the early years and finally settled in Watseka, Illinois at a building (formerly owned by TRW) that had some manufacturing equipment and the space T&D Metal would need to be a successful operation. Howard Dittrich bought the building at auction and before T&D Metals move to the Watseka location, Mr.Dittrich purchased Mr.Taucks stock and became the sole owner of T&D and the business continues today as a family run operation.

Current Operations:
Roger Dittrich, Howard's son, virtually grew up in the business and has a vast knowledge of all aspects relating to manufacturing and sheet metal production costs and development. Roger first started out as an tool & die apprentice while in high school and worked in all the positions at T&D Metal during the years. In 1981 Roger was promoted to General Manager after proving his hard work and knowledge earned that position. Roger helped direct T&D Metal with his father until 1985 when his father decided to retire and sell the company to Roger. Thus, beginning the new chapter in the operation with Roger as the owner and director.

Since then T&D Metal has increased its sales, quality and production.
Now, nearly 20 years later, Shane Dittrich (Roger's son) started just the way Roger had by growing up in the business. He is 3rd generation and is bringing new ideas and energy to T&D Metal as the General Manager.
